To celebrate Dr. Seuss Week each day we have a different dress-up day that ties in with a Dr. Seuss book. On Monday, February 23, the book of the day was The Foot Book. Our dress-up was "wear sneakers or mix-match shoes"!
We also invite guest readers to come and read to some classes. On Monday, even though we were delayed because of wintery weather, Mr. Hastings came with his bag of Dr. Seuss books and did an excellent job as always! He is a former teacher, principal, and Central Office employee of Decatur City Schools. His daughter is also our kindergarten teacher and he has three grandchildren at our school!
