We are back to school and everyone has visited the library at least once so far this year! First graders are checking book out this week (second graders did last week for the first time)! Before I get into school reporting, I want to show you some things that happened over the summer to get ready for this new year!
The first thing I did this summer (with my daughter's help) was paint these two huge columns in the table area. They were dark blue with green trim. I painted them the wall color with gray trim. It really cleaned up that area. I just realized that I didn't take an "after" picture. Later.
Next I worked on my library bulletin board. I plan to leave the tree up all year.
Freshened up a few other decorations.
I also made new fuzzy animal print seat pockets for all the chairs, but I didn't get any pictures of them.
With my daughter's help again, we got the faculty bulletin board ready for a new year. Each teacher will fill out an "all about me" to hang on that board. It stays up all year.
After class lists are posted, I can repaint the teacher name on the second grade library sticks.
I think I am all ready for new students!
Me on the first day, checking on student transportation home.
I promise I will have pictures of the students for my next post!
Happy reading!!
Great Job Sis "BEST LIBRARIAN IN STATE OF ALABAMA"! God given talent at its best!
